SQI Was Interviewed by CCTV Weekly Quality Report for Quality and Safety of Electric Bicycles
On August 27th, the quality survey of electric bicycles was shown on CCTV Weekly Quality Report. Mr. Chen Zhiqing from SQI was interviewed and analyzed current national standard of electric bicycles.
Electric bicycles become more and more popular, but its quality problems are also denounced because of its frequent traffic accidents. According to national standard Electric Bicycles – General Technical Requirements, electric bicycles’ speed should under 20km/h and weight should under 40kg. Mr. Chen Zhiqing pointed out that consumers should control the speed during riding electric bicycles to avoid getting injured, and that enterprise should control electric bicycles’ quality to avoid safety hazard.
To create high-quality life and guarantee quality and safety, SQI is active in supporting Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality & Technical Supervision, Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and Shanghai Bicycle Association for enforcement supervision and quality test of electric bicycles, which technically supports government to rectify and regulate electric bicycle market.
