Recently, SQI was invited to attend 2018 IDFB General Assembly in Tallinn, Estonia as the representative. The assembly was hosted by Joutsen Finland Oy.

On the meeting, several important decisions like IDFB life cycle assessment (LCA) project for down products, 2018-2019 laboratory training program were reviewed. Also the exchange of feather and feather detection standards, revision process, detection technology and other issues were discussed on the meeting. Among them, chemical processing of "glue velvet" in feather down processing has become a hot topic of this meeting. This conference is of great significance for guiding and standardizing the future detection of feather and feather in China.
