ISO/TC136 working group will be set up in Shanghai, China.

The twelfth annual meeting of ISO/TC136 was held in Shanghai on May 20, 2014. More than 50 representatives from 9 countries attended the meeting.

Mr. Ji Fei, president of Shanghai Institute of Quality Inspection and Technical Research (SQI) and vice chairman of National Technical Committee 480 on Furniture of Standardization Administration of China, made a brief introduction on the reason of application for new international standard item and SQI‘s scientific research ability in this field.

Due to sufficient preparation and communication, the new standard item” Furniture-- Strength and durability test method for bed” and the new working team of test method for bed was approved on the meeting. This means that ISO/TC136 working group will be set up in China.
