The 4^th ISO/TC38/SC23/WG02 work group session was held in New Orleans of U.S. on October 10^th successfully. Professor Li Weidong of SQI Institute of Fiber Inspection, one of the co-conveners hosted the meeting.

On the meeting, Professor Yu Hong of SQI Institute of Fiber Inspection introduced briefly on the basic situation and resolution of the 3th WG02 work group meeting which was held in October in 2013. Then the 2 international standards ISO/DIS 10290 and ISO/CD 2370 which revised mainly by SQI was reported their progress on the meeting. Also the new project proposal on the cotton fiber neps and staple fiber ratio test methods and the comparison of the existing standards and the cotton seed neps terminology was discussed on the meeting,

The successful holding of work group meeting not only strengthened the interaction between SQI experts and natural cellulose fiber standardization experts around the world, but also benefited in promoting research projects in the work process and the new project proposals been carried out smoothly, marking SQI forward a solid step in the international textiles standardization work.
