On September 25, SQI communicated with Swedish Standards Institute and IKEA China for cooperation. Mr. Ji Fei, president of SQI attended the meeting. Person in charge of department of standard technology management of National Standardization Administration Committee also attended the meeting.

On the meeting, Mr. Ji Fei introduced the achievement and donations of SQI in the ISO/TC 136 work as the domestic technology counterparts. He introduced the development of international furniture standards and the new international standard proposal undertaken by SQI and look forward to the cooperation between both sides in the preparation and revision of ISO standards. Mr. Thomas Idermark, senior advisor of SIS introduced the history of SIS and its current situation and role in participating in European standardization organizations and serving enterprises. IKEA China introduced the company''s global industrial and sales scale, design, business, production philosophy and other basic information as well as IKEA''s quality team composition, product quality control process and its work content and plan in ISO and other standardization organizations.

Through deep exchanges, the two sides have reached a consensus that we will jointly explore multiple cooperation models in the application of new international furniture standard projects, verification of national furniture standard technical methods and policy information sharing so as to promote the better development of all undertakings.
