On Jan. 22, SQI was interviewed by SYV reporters on the work of risk monitoring on shoes committed by SMBQTS. The interview content was broadcasted on the STV night news program.

Mr. Fei Guoping, the engineer of Institute of Quality Inspection of Light Industry and Chemical Products introduced the importance of the slip resistance of shoes product, its standard and its main influence factors. The risk monitoring project collected in 150 batches of products, including sports shoes, leather shoes, footwear and rubber footwear which covered mainstream brands in the market. The result showed that there are 30 batches of products which did not meet the technical requirements of reference value.

Slip performance of shoes product related to the wearer''s health and safety. Slip resistance mainly depends on the sole material and sole pattern structure of the shoes. Generally, rubber sole is better in terms of slip performance, plastic sole is inferior, EVA and other foam material sole are not recommended.
