On October 30^th, Mr. Liu Boying, director of Shanghai Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission (SHEITC) urban industry division visited SQI for communication and research. Mrs. Bi Ning, Vice President of SQI and persons in charge of Division of Sci-tech & Information and Institute of Quality Inspection of Food and Cosmetics attended the reception meeting.

On the meeting, Mrs. Bi Ning showed warm welcome to Mr. Liu Boying and introduced exactly the basic situation of SQI and our achievements on safeguarding people''s livelihood, serving the industry and society. Then person in charge of Protecting people''s livelihood, serving the industry and serving the society introduced the construction of National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Cosmetics & Cleaning Products and especially the business scope and qualifications of SQI. As the key laboratory for food inspection of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC, SQI introduced our technical services and testing support capabilities for industrial development.

Mr. Liu Boying confirmed the self-construction, industry and society service of SQI and introduced the main problems that the development of Shanghai food industry was facing now and the goal of industry development. He put forward the new demand to SQI on food security technology service, related standards promotion and industry transformation and upgrading service.
