Recently, SQI actively carried out the supervision sample check on people’s livelihood prevention and control products according to the arrangement of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Market Regulation.

Battle with Coronavirus is a long-term and hard war and guarantee the quality and safety of prevention and control products is an important link of this battle. During the special period, the use of general protective articles has increased sharply, such as disposable gloves, disposable dining utensils, fresh-keeping films (bags), etc. After receiving the task of supervision and spot check by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Market Regulation, SQI organized the competent forces to arrange and figure out the production enterprises of the civil defense materials in Shanghai and made clear the starting time and production types of the enterprises. Through non-contact means such as network video conference, SQI completed training work such as spot check rules and sampling requirements. It took 5 days for SQI to fulfill the task of 400 bathes sampling work by 12 groups of sampling teams. National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Consumer Goods of SQI undertook the task of inspection. 25 technical backbones were selected to work overtime to carry out sample inspection. They will focused on the total migration of protective articles, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metal in lead, coliform, Salmonella, mold and other testing items according to the relevant standards. it is expected to complete relevant testing tasks within 10 days from sample preparation, laboratory instrument analysis to result summary and report issuance.

SQI will earnestly perform the responsibilities of government laboratories to maintain the quality of protective articles of common concern to win the battle with coronavirus.
