On September 13th, the 3rd China Furniture Standardization International Forum was held in Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, hosted by China National Furniture Association and National Technical Committee on Furniture of Standardization Administration and organized by SQI and UBM Sinoexpo.
Mr. Chen Xiaojun, Deputy Director General of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, addressed the meeting and introduced Shanghai standardization policy and service objectives. Mr. Ji Fei, President of SQI and Vice Chairman of National Technical Committee on Furniture of Standardization Administration, introduced international standardization achievements on furniture in recent years. Mr. Zhu Changlin, Chairman of China National Furniture Association and National Technical Committee on Furniture of Standardization Administration, introduced economic situation of Chinese furniture industry, in which emphasized the construction goals of Chinese furniture standardization.
The forum focused on the theme of Green & Environmental Protection. Mr. Michael O’Hara, Global General Manager of UL Furniture Division, Professor Zhang Yinping from Tsinghua University, Mr. Zhang Qing, EHS Manager of Herman Miller, and Professor Luo Jufen from SQI gave speeches in the forum.
The forum provided a platform for experts, enterprises and all walks of life to communicate standardization policies, technical development and business information, and its achievements would promote developing of Chinese furniture standardization and furniture industry.
