On June 26, SQI Institute of Quality Inspection of Light Industry and Chemical Products held the second symposium on innovation and development of food contact products around the topic of risk study and safety evaluation of raw materials for food contact products. Raw material compliance experts from AICM, SABIC, Basf, Dupont, Mobil and Tetra Pak were invited to attend the meeting.

On the meeting, person in charge of SQI Institute of Quality Inspection of Light Industry and Chemical Products introduced the basic situation of SQI and demonstrated detailed on related contents of raw material supervision during license issuing process. Dr. Bian Huasong, Chairman of the food safety subcommittee of AICM introduced the organization structure and business responsibilities of ACIM and shared the experience of how to conduct raw material supervision under the new standard system. In the end, the attendants exchanged on the health safety and marking signs of the raw materials for food contact products under the standard system of new food contact products and have reached preliminary cooperation on the further development of food contact product risk monitoring, safety evaluation, additive management and hazardous material monitoring.
