On August 9, a release conference of group standard Safety and EMC Requirements for Household and Similar Use On-line Controller and Sensor was hold successfully. This group standard was organized by Shanghai Information Household Appliance Industry Association, and drafted mainly by SQI Institute of Quality Inspection of Electronics and Electrical Appliances. It was published on August 1, 2017, and will be implemented on October 1, 2017, which effectively fills the existing standard blank.

In the release conference, the leader of SQI Institute of Quality Inspection of Electronics and Electrical Appliances spoke on behalf of drafters, emphasizing that SQI, as a domestic leading and international excellent testing organization, played an important role in the field of product quality and safety supervision. Deputy secretary general of Shanghai Information Household Appliance Industry Association interpreted the new group standard on behalf enterprise representatives.

The standard specifies the electrical safety and EMC requirements for Household and Similar Use On-line Controller and Sensor, which provides effective bases for governments’ supervision and for enterprises’ design, research and developing. This standard also has the significance of technical promotion and product popularization, which is beneficial to stabilize and prove products’ quality and also can promote enterprise’ quality developing.
